After trying minimalist sandals (Xero Shoes), which I returned because I didn't like the chemical smell at all and the contact with all that plastic (black in addition for the summer, it warms the feet!) I looked for minimalist sandals with a more natural contact and I discovered Earth Runners, which offer an insole incotton(for 2 models), certified dyegots and PLUS connected to the Earth!
To buy them, only one solution: sur the site of the parent company in California because they are not distributed in France! But it is done very well and to make your life easier, I have translated the essentials into French for you below!
MINIMALIST SANDALS CONNECTED TO THE EARTH
for Men - Women - Children
"To help rediscover our connection with nature and
restore healthy physical and biological functions."
☑️ Vegan. No animal products
☑️ Cotton insole, GOTS certified dye
☑️ Secure ergonomic laces
☑️ Copper and stainless steel grounding system connects you to Earth
☑️Made with Vibram® outsoles for a responsive and secure experience
All Earth Runners sandals are vegan and handmade with a unique strapping style, but with different sole thicknesses and colors.
1- First you choose between THEAdventureOrlifestyle, the only difference is in the level shoelaces, you choose according to your use-lifestyle:
-Lifestyle laces offer more comfort, they are thinner and more flexiblethan Lifestyles. They are ideal for maximum comfort in casual everyday life!
-Adventure laces(Performance Laces) arestronger and safer, they provide ultimate safety and longevity for all your adventures!
2- Then you choose the model according tosole thickness (see table below):
-Elemental:(8 mm sole) are ultra flexible and minimalist and made with a single layer of Vibram. This makes them very easy to clean, but they are slightly more slippery than other options.
I recommend circadian and alpha instead if you don't want to be in direct contact with plastic!: Both Circadian (9mm) and Alpha (12mm) are made with a cotton insole over the Vibram outsole. This makes them very secure with no chance of slipping even in wet conditions.
When they get dirty, scrub them with a brush to freshen them up and let them air dry.
-Circadian:the intermediary
- Alpha: The Alpha's thicker sole is ideal for intense hiking, mountain hiking or long walks on hard ground, or if you are looking for more comfort but it is less flexible than others._cc781905-5cde-3194-bb3b -136bad5cf58d_
3- All you have to do is choosethe color of the laces!
What is the right amount of cushioning?
While moderate padding relieves stress on your feet, too much can disrupt proper barefoot technique and increase impact on joints.
Get somepoorly padded shoesif you have strong feet but tend to suffer from joint pain.
Choose moderately cushioned shoes if your feet are prone to pain.
The Alpha modelis ideal for most people who opt for minimalist footwear. It provides the perfect balance of cushioned protection, while minimizing disruption to running form.
Is the Earth-Grip insole organic?
The insole is dyed in small batches using GOTS certified organic dye in Los Angeles, CA. The fabric itself is not certified organic. The Indian farmers who grow our cotton use traditional practices that have been in place for over 100 years, before the introduction of inorganic fertilizers.
We laminate the Earth-Grip insole to the Vibram® outsole using a solvent-free thermal adhesive
print and “try on the sandals” before ordering!
1 - Click on the printer icon of the corresponding size
2 - Download the PDF to your computer
3 - Print the size model in "actual size"
4 - Compare with your foot and confirm your size
3.1 - When printing our models, make sure the "scale" in the print window is set to 100% or actual size to ensure size accuracy.
3.2 - If you are using the Chrome browser, make sure the "fit to page" box is unchecked.
3.3 - After printing the model, check the scale of the model and compare with a ruler.
4.1 - On a hard, flat surface, place the toe hole mark between your big and second toe.
4.2 - The toes should be close to the edge, but not overhanging. Want our opinion? Send a photo of your foot on the template via our contact page.
**Reminder: The most common mistake is not printing the model accurately, so check with a ruler.
Here we have provided some approximations of how your foot on the model might translate to wearing the sandal on your foot. Note: People tend to want to order sandals with more space. We actually recommend choosing the size with the least amount of extra space between your toes/heel and the edges of the sandal. A snug fit is ideal, reducing sloppy strides and tripping hazards.
